Notes

Note 1: 2018.06.20 — Scott's Addition industrial track used to loop around parallel to the south leg of Acca wye, but it has not been used for a number of years. Because the area is gentrifying with brew pubs and loft apartments it has been severed and will be torn up.

Going south from Scott's Addition, the Peek-a-boo track winds down to the Science Museum of Virginia which occupies the former Broad Street Station where the tracks are remarkably still intact. When it was operating the American Orient Express cars were stored here. This lead also used to go straight into Interbake Foods occupying the Famous Foods of Virginia bakery (“Home of FFV Cookies and Crackers”), but that track has been removed. When you're sitting at the McDonald's drive-through order board look to the right and you'll see the small shed where cars were spotted.

Note 2: 2016.04.25 — Seaboard Junction was the demarcation point under The Boulevard overhead highway where Seaboard Air Line's Bellwood subdivision entered RF&P Acca Yard territory. The SRN milepost prefix denotes Seaboard heritage while the CFP prefix is used for former RF&P track.

Track #1 was known as the RF&P Thoroughfare. Track #2 and I guess the abandoned third industrial track were known as the Hermitage industrial tracks serving numerous customers along the upper Bellwood sub. The small-ish Hermitage Yard expanded on the east side of the tracks, but is long gone; it was used to exchange cars with RF&P and ACL. The current division point is at Hermitage Road which is CFP0.5 = SRN3.5 with signals protecting the crossover 1 to 2 southbound. I guess this makes CFP0.0 = SRN3.0 but that lies on the Bellwood sub where CFP prefixes are not used; that's just an administrative curiosity.

Note 3: 2018.06.20 — A huge rebuild of Acca Yard to speed passenger and through-freight moves has resulted in the extended Passenger Main and Track 4 running unimpeded down to North End subdivision tracks 1 and 2 respectively. Track 3 does a little jig in the yard to connect to track 2, then diverge right back to join track 2 at West AY. South Yard was shortened in the process. This track chart has been simplified to eliminate visual clutter. There exist many more tracks than are depicted here in this schematic.
