The view of the track might be obstructed by foliage along some stretches, but that's just the way it goes. DRIVE SAFELY! Notes

Note 1: The Florida, Gulf, & Atlantic Railroad was created by Gary Marino of RailAmerica fame to purchase the Tallahassee, P & A, and Bainbridge subdivisions from CSX in 2018. The sale was off-again-on-again, but completed in 2Q2019 with operations to begin Summer 2019. The Federal Register exemption notice explains in more goverment-ese detail.

Note 2: — CSX chose to assign L&N heritage lines a 3-character prefix on milepost designations, but uses invisible zeroes (0) as place-holders for empty character positions. I won't belabor the point in this table, but the first milepost entry at the top shows what really appears in CSX records. The rest of them are shown as simply as possible to avoid clutter and confusion. More information is available on my CSX Dispatcher Code table page.

Note 3: — Florida, Gulf, and Atlantic chose to turn the tracks 90 degrees: north is now east, south is now west which matches their compass bearings and breaks with the historical designation of the L&N.

Note 4: — The former L&N passenger station in Milton, Florida now houses the West Florida Railroad Museum. There is a semaphore signal and some rail cars on display there, plus interpretive programs on select weekends.
