Legend

The green vertical bar between the track chart and milepost columns denotes stretches where public roads run next to the tracks and are good for pacing trains. The view of the track might be obstructed by foliage along some stretches, but that's just the way it goes. DRIVE SAFELY! Your photos or videos won't see the Net if you kill yourself and others chasing a train.

Notes

Note 1: 2013.11.09 — A project was completed in October 2013 that extended the double track in Lakeland from the former apex of the wye under George Jenkins Blvd all the way up to 10th Street which added about 1.5 miles of double track north of Lakeland proper. Southbound trains diverging to the new section of double track will take the south leg of the wye toward Tampa via South Lakeland to the Lakeland subdivision; trains staying on the main will take the north leg of the wye to Lakeland Connection to the Carter's subdivision towards Orlando.

Note 2: 2013.11.16 — To continue pacing trains south past Vitis Junction hang a left to go EAST across the tracks at Melrose Avenue/Berry Road/CR35 Alternate. When you come to a T-intersection with CR54 turn left to go EAST. Drive 6+ miles and turn RIGHT on Rockridge Road south. Keep winding your way through the countryside to another T-intersection and turn RIGHT on Scrotum Loop Road. Follow it around to the south until you converge with the tracks. There's about 1.5 miles of paceage along here with the A.O.C. Chemicals industry track crossing Kathleen Road just before it diverges again. Stay on Kathleen Road all the way into Lakeland.

Bote's Notes

Notes for my railfanning research expedition. This is the best place to put them, right out in plain view where I can find them.

It's nothin?
